Former 1017 artist and Texas native, rapper K Shiday was shockingly released from her contract with Gucci Mane and his infamous 1017 label. The summer of 2020 was an icy one when the Lemonade rapper signed a whole new line-up of artists from various cities around the US to Million-dollar record contracts, complete with an iced out 1017 label necklace to seal the deal. His most prominent artists to blow this year was Memphis native Pooh Shiesty who just went Gold with his debut album ‘Shiesty Season’, and Greensboro, Georgia native Foogiano. Foogiano has hit songs out with an army of charting artists including Lil Baby, Da Baby, Duke Duce, Big Scarr, Trill Layyy, and more. His album Gutta Baby stayed on the charts for a week thus making it a successful project. The other artists on the label Roby, Enchanting, and Big Scarr are all working on various projects. The music industry is a competitive dog eat dog industry, and not only do you need tough skin to survive, but you also need a strong work effort. No formal reason for the departure has been made public as of yet, but the label has a history of trying out new artists to make the cut. K Shiday is a all around talent, college educated, beautiful, and ambitious. Her next chapter starts now with the release of a new freestyle ‘Back In Blood’. Do not count K Shiday out yet, she is still in good spirits and is currently working on new music independently.
