Every blue moon the music industry houses a handful of independent top tier artists that think outside the box and take their careers to new levels without mainstream labels behind them or in their pockets. The amount of hard work and consistency it takes to even measure up in such a category requires a multitude of dedication. New York born, but now stomping in Atlanta, rapper, and singer Sy Ari da Kid is hands down in a league of his own with his sophisticated catalog. Rather he is rapping about the struggles in the community or singing about a sexual encounter with a beautiful woman the artist is going to give all of himself in his music every time.

With his latest album ‘The Shadow In the Shade 2’ out now on all platforms earning rave reviews from his fans online, he has been on a series of promo runs to prepare for his upcoming live concert in Atlanta on November 3rd. The project features 21 tracks of a wide range of music vibes and will keep you entertained from start to finish. With feature credits from rappers Freeway, Mickey Factz, Trouble, and music mogul Bigga Rankin the famed artist has once again proved why he is in a league of his own.

Unafraid to fill his lyrics with deep words that make the mind think, and welcome urban storytelling from the song titles to the last verse on the song he wows in every form. His latest video release ‘Racketeering Influenced & Corrupt Organizations’ covers a buzzing hot-seat topic in the Hip-Hop community today, jail charges. The latest rappers to fall into the system, YSL label mates Young Thug and Gunna, are amongst the long list of artists fighting with their lawyers to beat charges. The song title which in short called ‘Rico’ was a federal law created in 1970 to stop unlawful activity involving organized crime.

Sy left no message unturned with the direction of the video treatment to the song itself. Bar for bar from rapping about artists having rico charges to not hanging with strangers just to say he is a gangster, the artist easily dog-walked on the beat and created the perfect visual to execute the project. Earning his own song credits and set to kick off a fully independent concert with his team out the trenches, the respect he receives earns him a spot at the table with the rap Gods. Sy proves to the music industry that with today’s access to social media, your own loyal fanbase, and the demand for total independence why he is a GOAT in the game. The sky is literally the limit when you have free will to create and move as you please and with a want for him on the music streaming sites the album is giving you the sauce for success.
