One thing is for sure, the amount of talented MC’s coming out of Florida has sky rocketed as of lately. Mazarodie Banks is a super lit and talented Liberty City native and rapper. The name Mazarodie Banks came from his hustle. Some people may see Mazarodie and think he is referencing the car, but he means Fast Money Banks because he is always on his grind.
Banks has been rapping for 8 years now and began taking it seriously about two years ago. He is in the studio at least a few hours every day. The raw Hip-Hop artist has so much passion and love for his music that after putting in so much heart and energy into his craft is ready to take things to the next level. Banks has also worked with Turk from Cash Money. Their song “State to State” can be streamed on all platforms. The rapper most recently dropped a new mixtape titled “Mazarodie Concert”.
He believes his home town, Liberty City, is much like any other hood with its love and dislikes, people with shiesty ways and lots of hustlers. In the rough streets of Liberty City money is a major issue. Everyone is trying to get to it and the hustlers will step over anything and anyone who gets in their way. Without much opportunity for independent artists in Florida, you really must stay 10 toes down and really hustle to push your music mainstream. Liberty City has some open mics, but not much love for the underground rap scene and Mazarodie feels like there could be more support from the bigger names already on. Already rubbing elbows with the notorious Cash Money Records family, and a solid management team behind him, the only way is up from here.
Banks feels as if 2020 impacted his artistry with the pandemic so now he is on the grind to get back the lost time and continue to grow his fan base. With several artists unable to do shows and club appearances, you really had to adapt and find a solid hustle or way to remain booked as an artist during that time. While being locked in due to the quarantine, the lyricist discovered some new talents and things about himself. One new talent he learned is harmonizing which he has implemented into his music artistry. He likes acting and is working on writing a movie.
