One of pop-culture’s biggest urban love stories this decade, True to The Game stole everyone’s hearts when it first hit the theaters in 2017 and left you fiending to find out what happens next. The Terri Woods novel was brought to life on the big screen written by Preston Whitmore and produced by Manny Halley, Rodney Turner and Yolanda Halley. Gena, the love interest in the 1^st movie found a real forever in the drug lord / businessman, Quadir. Faced with the highs and lows of living in the concrete jungle known as Philadelphia, it is filled with drug deals gone wrong, drama, murder, sex, and lots of suspense. The 1^st installment keeps you glued to your seat throughout the entire film. The most talked about part of the movie was the ending. With Quadir murdered in cold blood, and Gena losing her closest friends, she comes across a large sum of money left to her and emotionally starts a new chapter of her life, thus giving us True to The Game 2.

The 2^nd movie takes on a new approach by focusing on Gena. She begins to put the pieces of her life back together again after dealing with a lot of pain and suffering. The story starts with her leaving Phila to find closure and peace, while starting a new job in New York. Still very much heartbroken over the loss of her fiancé Quadir, Gena makes the most of her time by putting all her energy into a new job not long after, going off to California for a much-needed break. With a change of scenery and new characters coming into the storyline, everyone delivers all their energy into the plot making it everything the fans were waiting for. It is shock after shock in this all-star cast led by Vivica A. Fox, rapper Lil Momma, Andra Fuller, Jeremy Meeks, Rotimi, Darius McCray and more in this winning ensemble. Expect a lot of OMG moments with the biggest plot twist of all time. True to The Game 2 is out now in select theaters.
